Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express, as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. We are also building new and improved rapid transit, including GO Expansion, Light Rail Transit routes, and major expansions to Toronto’s subway system, to get people where they need to go, better, faster and easier. In-Office Requirement – NON-HR: This role is an in‑office position based at our 10,Bay Street location. Our team is highly collaborative, and much of our work benefits from in‑person co‑creation, relationship‑building, and hands‑on partnership with leaders across the organization.

We are seeking a Partnership Sales Manager for a 14-month contract role who will guide sustainable revenue growth by developing and looking for new corporate partnership opportunities. You will lead the production of a partnership sales strategy that contributes to the non-fare sales target of increasing non-fare revenue by established target percentages.

What will I be doing?

  • Leveraging partnership capabilities, experience, and knowledge in industry to provide strategic direction and effectively oversee and coordinate the development of new business Opportunities, in the areas of corporate and promotional partnerships.

  • Working as part of a team to achieve individual and group monthly, quarterly and yearly quotas, as set by management.

  • Building and maintaining key relationships with external stakeholders and partners throughout business development and project lifecycles.

  • Developing analyses of potential opportunities in order to make recommendations around priority growth opportunities for partnership sales. Coordinating with key stakeholders across the organization to drive prioritization on what opportunities should be pursued by partnership sales team.

  • Proactively prospecting and developing new partnership opportunities across priority business categories.
  • Developing customized partnership proposals and pitch presentations tailored to client objectives.
  • Creating compelling sales materials, presentations, and business cases to support partnership opportunities.
  • Managing and maintaining accurate sales pipeline activity, forecasts, and opportunity tracking within CRM systems.
  • Utilizing Excel and other reporting tools to analyze sales performance, pipeline activity, and revenue projections.
  • Conducting outreach through email, phone, LinkedIn, networking events, and industry engagement activities.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop integrated partnership solutions aligned with client marketing objectives.
  • Preparing presentations and presenting partnership concepts to senior-level client stakeholders.
  • Tracking outreach activity, sales progression, and key performance indicators to support overall revenue objectives.

What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need?

  • Completion of a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications – or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent.

  • Demonstrated experience in corporate partnership and/or sponsorship sales roles.

  • Established sales track record and proven business development experience.

  • Building and managing a sales pipeline that consistently delivers on personal and team sales targets.

  • In-depth knowledge of partnership sales and business development strategies and techniques.

  • Skill in highly persuasive oral and written communications, including effective executive-level presentation skills and cold calling.

  • Business focused individuals, with a strong financial aptitude and business case development.

  • Ability to analyze sales data and develop recommendations and solutions

  • Experience working with CRM systems.

  • Knowledge of the importance and impact of strategic and corporate partnerships.

  • Knowledge and expertise to manage a large profile of corporate clients, with complex contractual agreements involving multiple stakeholders.

  • Expertise in managing and monitoring marketing or business contracts and agreements to ensure that the outcomes are delivered and executed.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to facilitate the achievement of partners’ goals and objectives by providing expert marketing advice and guidance.
