Provides district-level leadership for middle school career-connected learning by leading the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of a comprehensive 6–12 Career and Academic Plan (MyCAP) system. This position partners with school leaders, counselors, and district departments to embed career readiness, 21st-century skills, and financial literacy into curriculum and counseling practices. The role focuses on data-driven improvement, systems coherence, and building counselor capacity to ensure equitable access to career awareness and exploration experiences for all students.

Lead the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of district middle school career readiness initiatives, ensuring alignment to district goals and postsecondary readiness benchmarks. Serve as a district liaison for internal and external partners supporting career-connected learning (e.g., MyCAP, postsecondary and workforce agencies). Ensure programming supports career awareness, exploration, and informed student choice rather than standalone events.

Analyze school-level career engagement and MyCAP-related data (e.g., platform completion, participation metrics, experiential learning exposure) to identify gaps, trends, and inequities. Use data insights to differentiate support, recommend adjustments to programming, and ensure all students—regardless of background—have access to meaningful career learning experiences aligned to in-demand pathways.

Provide sustained coaching and professional learning for middle school counselors focused on implementing a comprehensive counseling model that integrates academic, social/emotional, and career development.
