The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to lead your own business within Kelly+Partners, under our Partner-Owner-Driver model. You will hold genuine equity in the business you build, set the direction for your clients and your team, and draw on the technical bench and support of an ASX-listed Top 20 firm.

We have Partner opportunities across our national network, with a clear pathway from Partner through to Senior Partner. It is a genuine long-term proposition, backed by the scale and stability of a firm that keeps investing in the people who lead it.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who already operates like an owner, even before holding equity. That means you price your own work, know your numbers, and take responsibility for the outcomes of your team without needing to be asked.

You are likely already running, or effectively running, a significant part of a practice, whether formally recognised as a Partner or not. This role gives you the equity, autonomy and support to do that in your own right.

Location and Relocation

Kelly+Partners has offices across Australia, with more opening as the firm grows. These opportunities are not tied to one fixed location, and where they sit will depend, in part, on the right person coming forward.

• Own the significant client relationships in the business you lead, and set the standard for putting the client's interests first.

• Own the profit and loss of the business you lead, including revenue, margin and reinvestment.
• Set and hold the standard on turnaround times, deadlines and no-surprises communication, in both directions.
• Review and sign off complex work across companies, trusts, partnerships and self-managed superannuation funds, including Division 7A, capital gains tax, fringe benefits tax and international matters.
• Uphold professional standards, quality control and the risk framework without exception.

• Grow the practice through referral networks and professional relationships, and support partnership and succession opportunities as they arise.

What You Bring

• 8+ years in Australian public practice, including at least 3 years at Manager or Senior Manager level, or experience as a practice principal.
• CA qualified through Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand; Registered Tax Agent status is highly regarded.
• A demonstrated record of owning, retaining and growing a client portfolio.
• Deep technical strength in tax, structuring and advisory for privately owned business groups, with SMSF experience valued.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and retain a team, and a genuine interest in the careers of the people you lead.
• Commercial judgement, and comfort with a profit and loss statement, pricing and managing work in progress.
• Proficient with practice management systems including MYOB AE, APS, HowNow, Active Ledger, Xero and QuickBooks, or a strong aptitude for learning new systems.
• Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail and strong organisational discipline.
• A willingness to relocate within Australia for the right opportunity, and the appetite to invest in the business you lead.
