Job Description

At IDSS, our Participant Liaison Officers aren’t just coordinators — they’re our fairies

They are the people who quietly make things happen behind the scenes, remove barriers, connect the right supports, and help participants and families navigate complex systems with confidence.

We’re looking for an experienced Participant Liaison Officer (PLO) to join our Bundaberg team — someone who brings strong knowledge of NDIS and Child Safety systems, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage complex participant needs with professionalism and heart.

If you thrive in a fast-moving, solutions-focused environment and enjoy being part of a creative, innovative team, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role

As a Participant Liaison Officer, you will play a critical role supporting participants, families, and internal teams to ensure supports are coordinated, effective, and responsive.

You will act as a key connection point between participants, families, support workers, external stakeholders, and internal teams, ensuring that supports are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with participant goals.

This role requires someone who can balance empathy with strong organisational skills, manage competing priorities, and confidently navigate complex service systems.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the primary liaison between participants, families, support workers and external stakeholders
Coordinate and monitor participant supports to ensure services are delivered effectively
Work closely with Child Safety, NDIS representatives, families and other agencies
Support participants with complex needs and ensure services align with care plans and goals
Identify and resolve issues quickly while maintaining positive relationships
Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with organisational and compliance requirements
Contribute to a collaborative, creative team culture

About You

We are looking for someone who brings both experience and the right mindset

You will ideally have:

    Experience working with NDIS participants
Experience working within or alongside the Child Safety system
Strong understanding of participant-centred support and safeguarding
    Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
The ability to manage multiple participants and priorities
    Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
Confidence working within a fast-paced, evolving environment

Essential Requirements

Experience in disability, child protection, community services or a related field
Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or ability to obtain)
    Current Driver’s Licence

Why Join IDSS?

At IDSS we believe great outcomes happen when great people feel supported to do their best work

You’ll be joining a team that values:

    Collaboration and creative problem solving
    A supportive, down-to-earth workplace culture
The freedom to think differently and improve how things are done
Making a genuine difference in the lives of participants and families

And yes — our Participant Liaison Officers really are our fairies, because they help make the impossible feel possible.
