Part-Time Yard Hostler

Location: Springfield, MO

Schedule: Mon–Thurs, 11 AM–4 PM | Fri, 11 AM–9 PM

Hours: Approximately 30 Hours/week

SGC Foodservice, a family-owned company with over 160 years of history, is looking for a reliable, CDL-licensed Yard Hostler to join our team. If you prefer a down-to-earth work culture where your contributions matter—and you’re not the "corporate type", this might be the perfect fit.

What You’ll Do

• Move trailers around our yard and to off-site storage
• Back trailers to docks and set temps
• Inspect equipment and fuel vehicles
• Perform daily yard checks and monitor fuel levels
• Maintain accurate safety and inspection records

What You Bring:

• Valid Class A CDL and ability to pass a DOT physical
• Ability to lift/push/pull freight and work physically throughout shift
• Strong communication skills and attention to safety
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and background check
