Summary
The Weekend Supervisor is responsible for providing supervision and operational oversight for The Center for Women and Families’ “the Center “. This role ensures daily operations run effectively, providing trauma-informed leadership, staff supervision, and strategic program management to meet the needs of survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual assault.
The Supervisor oversees case management, client intake, and data reporting, ensuring services align with best practices in trauma-informed care. Working closely with the Director of Emergency Shelter, Director of Crisis Response and other program leaders, this position plays a key role in staff development, program improvement, and ensuring compliance with funding and regulatory requirements.

QualificationsSkill Requirements
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to oversee complex emergency shelter operations.
- Expertise in trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and domestic violence/sexual assault services.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to facilitate staff development and case conferences.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to navigate high-pressure situations and make informed programmatic decisions.
- Strong organizational and data management skills, ensuring accurate record-keeping and program evaluation.
- Ability to mediate conflicts and facilitate resolution processes for both clients and staff.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and client database systems for reporting and tracking client progress.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring an inclusive and culturally competent work environment.
Experience & Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; a minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field may be substituted for a degree.
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in social services, emergency shelter, crisis intervention, or nonprofit management.
- Experience in case management, program development, and trauma-informed care preferred.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record that meets CWF automobile insurance requirements, if operating a company vehicle.
- Must have a successful background check.
- Fluency in languages other than English is a plus.
Essential Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods in an emergency shelter setting.
- Occasional lifting of materials related to shelter operations and staff training.
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs and up to 70 lbs with assistance.
- Ability to work in high-stress environments, including crisis situations and emergency response efforts.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as required to meet shelter operational needs.

We help our clients and their dependent children become survivors through trauma-informed advocacy. Our goal is to mitigate the impact of their trauma by reducing their risk factors and building their resiliency. We serve anyone in Jefferson, Bullitt, Spencer, Shelby, Oldham, Henry, and Trimble counties in Kentucky and Floyd and Clark counties in Indiana.
