Floor Coverings International of North Seattle & Seattle Shoreline is a locally owned and growing flooring business looking for a dependable, energetic person to help with warehouse operations, deliveries, and day-to-day business needs.
This could be a great fit for a college student or someone interested in entrepreneurship, business, operations, construction, or simply looking for a flexible part-time position with variety.
You'll work directly with the business owner and our team and get a behind-the-scenes look at how a growing small business operates—from purchasing and inventory to logistics, sales, customer service, and project management.
What You'll Do
- Receive, organize, and prepare flooring materials for upcoming projects
- Pick up materials from local flooring distributors
- Deliver flooring and supplies to customer job sites throughout the Seattle area
- Load and unload flooring, tools, and supplies
- Maintain an organized warehouse
- Help manage inventory, samples, and incoming deliveries
- Assist with occasional showroom and general business needs
- Help solve the miscellaneous day-to-day challenges that come with running a growing business
Schedule
Approximately 10–20 hours per week.
The schedule will vary depending on deliveries, material pickups, and project needs. We're looking for someone who values a flexible schedule but also has some weekday/daytime availability.
We'll work around school and other commitments whenever possible, but this position is best for someone whose schedule has some flexibility.
Who We're Looking For
- Dependable and responsible
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record
- Comfortable driving a company vehicle
- Able to safely lift and move flooring materials and other heavy items, up to 75lbs
- Organized and able to work independently
- Comfortable interacting professionally with customers, installers, and suppliers
- Willing to jump in and help wherever needed
- No flooring or warehouse experience required—we'll teach you

If you're interested in eventually owning a business, working in operations, sales, construction, real estate, or entrepreneurship, this position offers an opportunity to see how a real small business operates every day.
You'll have the opportunity to learn about sales, purchasing, inventory, logistics, project management, customer service, marketing, and the financial side of running a business—not just warehouse work.
Compensation
$25/hour, depending on experience.
