Visual Arts Instructor � K�6

NFSIS is seeking a part-time Visual Arts Instructor to teach students in grades K�6 during designated art blocks throughout the school year.

This position is approximately 6 hours per week, all on Fridays, for approximately 8�16 weeks of the school year. Art instruction will be offered in concentrated blocks rather than throughout the entire school year.

The ideal candidate is a practicing artist or experienced arts educator who enjoys working with children and is comfortable teaching across a variety of artistic mediums and grade levels.

Responsibilities and qualifications include:

• Teach visual arts to students in grades K�6.
• Plan developmentally appropriate, hands-on art lessons for a range of ages and abilities.
• Be comfortable teaching a variety of mediums, including drawing, painting, clay/sculpture, and other traditional visual arts.
• Manage materials, setup, and cleanup associated with art instruction.
• Create a warm, structured classroom environment that supports creativity, craftsmanship, and artistic skill development.
• Demonstrate strong classroom management and the ability to work with groups of elementary-aged students.

Schedule: Fridays, approximately 6 hours per week, for 8�16 weeks during the school year.
