PART-TIME VISITING LECTURER IN POLITICS
Spring 2027
Scripps College, a women’s liberal arts college with a strong interdisciplinary tradition, invites applications for a non-tenure-track, part-time position as Visiting Lecturer to teach in the Department of Politics during Spring 2027. The Department seeks applications from candidates with demonstrated expertise and experience in teaching courses through an intersectional feminist lens. Ph.D. preferred but ABD will be considered. The successful candidate will teach two courses: Introduction to Public Policy and one of the following more specialized elective courses: Women and Public Policy, Environmental Policy in the United States, or The Future of Higher Education. We are looking for an individual with a strong commitment to undergraduate liberal arts education to teach these courses. This is a non-renewable position.

The salary for this position will range from $17,100 to $19,000 and will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
