Brightpoint Community College is a two-year public institution of higher education and is one of the largest of Virginia’s 23 community colleges. The college is located within the Greater Richmond metropolitan area. It serves students and the community at its two campuses, in Chester and Midlothian; online; and in locations throughout its service area. Brightpoint Community College’s mission is to provide quality educational opportunities that inspire student success and community vitality. It envisions a success story for every student.
Provide proctoring for course tests and exams, placement testing, accommodated testing and credentialing exams to students in various programs of study at Brightpoint Community College; monitor email and communications. Currently seeking applicants with availability to work a schedule to include 20-29 hours weekly Monday – Saturday. (Positions are limited to working up to 29 hours a week and available hours may vary throughout the year. Incumbents may be required to work either campus as needed, week-day hours, two evenings a week, and Saturdays.)
Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
KSA's/Required Qualifications
Must have excellent communication skills, computer and customer service skills; be able to work in a fast paced, diverse, and occasionally stressful environment. Applicants must also have the ability to work a flexible schedule at either the Chester or Midlothian campuses and accept related duties as assigned in a relatively unsupervised capacity. Successful completion and passing of a background check is required for employment
Additional Considerations
Experience working with students in a higher education environment preferred. Knowledge of on-line testing Canvas and Microsoft Office applications strongly considered. Availability to work Friday and Saturday shifts strongly preferred.
Operation of a State Vehicle No Supervises Employees No Required Travel
Travel between campuses may be required.
