Job Description

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Approximately 1 month

Location: Long Island, NY

Position Type: Live-out

Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday : 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM

  • Guaranteed Hours: 12

Compensation: $28 per hour

A warm and welcoming family in Long Island is seeking a proactive, organized, and engaging temporary nanny to care for their 1.5-year-old child for a one-month assignment beginning ASAP. The ideal candidate is nurturing, dependable, and experienced working with toddlers in a developmentally focused environment. A Montessori background is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive and nurturing care for a 1.5-year-old toddler
  • Plan age-appropriate, engaging activities that encourage development and independence
  • Maintain an organized and tidy play and child-related environment
  • Support routines including snacks, diapering, and transitions
  • Encourage a calm, positive, and structured environment

Ideal Candidate

  • Prior toddler experience required
  • Montessori experience or background strongly preferred
  • Proactive, organized, and self-directed
  • Warm, reliable, and energetic
  • Comfortable collaborating with parents and adapting to the family’s routine

The family is looking for someone who can step in seamlessly and provide dependable, thoughtful care during this temporary period.
