Job Description

Job Location: Omaha Zoo - Omaha, NE 68107
Position Type: Part TimeJob Title: Part-Time Teller
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Hours: Part-time (year-round; hours vary depending on the seasonal demands)
Pay Rate: $16.41/hour

Summary:
The Teller assists with the daily issuance, return, and reconciliation of cash used in the operation of the zoo, the collection and reporting of vending and coin operated systems, and the deposit of funds to banking institutions. The Teller must follow and maintain the procedures of the secure cash control environment and demonstrate a high level of ethics and integrity.
Duties and Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
- Ensure that all vault policies and procedures are followed.
- Issue start tills and process returns.
- Collect daily register bank bags.
- Roll loose coin for recirculation.
- Distribute petty cash.
- Assist customers with lost and found items.
- Prepare daily, weekly, bi-weekly and monthly deposits.
- All other duties assigned.

Qualifications:
- Valid state driver’s license required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be at least 18 years or old.
- Extensive cash handling experience preferred.
- Strong communication and clerical skills preferred.
- Microsoft Office and 10 key adding machine skills required.
Working Conditions/Physical Effort:
- Work is normally performed in a typical office work environment but does include walking or riding in a cart around zoo grounds.
- On occasion, this position may be exposed to the elements or conduct its function in a zoo/aquarium environment.
- Must be able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, twist, and reach above head.
- Will lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 50 pounds using safe and proper lifting methods.
- Shift may include weekends, evenings and holidays.
