The Switchboard Operator receives visitors in the front lobby of the City of Conroe Police Department and directs visitors to necessary locations or provides needed information. This position also receives incoming phone calls and directs calls to necessary locations or provides needed information.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
Must possess high school diploma or equivalent.
Special Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work is light and requires the ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force to move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: crouching, feeling, fingering, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motions, speaking, standing, stooping, talking, visual acuity and walking.
