The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND
As an Electronic Design Part-Time Student for John Deere ISG located in Fargo, ND, you will:
• Support engine control unit (ECU) development activities of varying technical complexity
• Apply foundational engineering knowledge to assist with testing, analysis, and basic circuit design activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, contributing to design discussions and participating in design reviews

• Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or another engineering discipline from an accredited engineering school; or others may apply
• Must be a full-time student at a local university or college
• Graduation date of Spring of 2027 or later
• Cumulative GPA of 2.8
• Ability to understand and apply basic concepts in microprocessor-based embedded electronics, software, and mechanical packaging designs
• Capability to perform routine engineering tasks using foundational technical knowledge, attention to detail, and critical thinking
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical, technical approach
• Self-motivated and dependable with good communication skills and a willingness to learn and take initiative
• Available to work 16-20 hours/week during the academic year
• Available to work 30-40 hours/weeks during the summer
• Must be able to commute to the work location in Fargo, ND on a regular basis. (NOTE: Relocation assistance is not provided)
