
Part Time - Student Center Coordinator
The Blinn College District is searching for a Part Time - Student Center Coordinator at our Bryan Campus.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities are listed below:
To provide support for the Student Leadership & Activities Department, ensuring efficient operation of the Student Center. This position also works to ensure that internal and external events are appropriately planned, executed, and wrapped up in a timely manner. Planning includes working with a variety of departments throughout the Blinn Campus.
Principal Accountabilities
Responsible for serving as the first point of contact for walk in visitors, students and/or phone calls. Oversees the front desk of the Student Center, resolving customer service requests and problems by clarifying the customer’s complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.
Responsible for coordinating use of Bryan Student Center, Bryan Administration Building, and RELLIS facilities with Blinn College personnel, students, and the community and ensuring their event is booked on the calendar and all necessary logistics are fulfilled efficiently and in a timely manner.
Assist in all day to day operation of the Student Center and the Office of Student Leadership & Activities.
Assist with Blinn College programming campaigns and other events sponsored by the department, as needed.
Perform basic office management and assist with general office duties within the department. Responsible for submitting all
Purchase Requests made on behalf of Student Leadership & Activities and all student clubs and organizations.
Responsible for operating and maintaining the lost and found.
Responsible for ensuring all linen maintained by the department is cleaned, sorted, and stored efficiently.
Responsible for maintaining an inventory of all Student Leadership & Activities owned items.
Maintain an accurate log of facility usage and attendance data.
Assist with set up and tear down of events as necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications/ Required Degree, License or Certifications
Associates degree with at least 2 years experience working in a college setting or comparable environment.
2+ years of direct customer service experience.

Ability to lift or carry up to 45 pounds as needed.
Ability to work extended weekly hours or weekend hours as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Associates degree with 5+ years of experience in Student Affairs OR a bachelors degree with 2 years of experience in a college or similar setting.
