POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides direct security and related public services.

Compensation: $18.82/hr. Flex

Responsibilities

Our healthcare Security Officers are responsible for maintaining the security and safety of the hospital, its staff, and its patients and visitors -- and serve as a visible deterrent to illegal activities on hospital property. Our Security Officers also provide supervision for at-risk patients in the hospital environment.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Completed High School Diploma or GED
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certifications
• Strong vision abilities including color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift, move or lift objects up to 80 lbs., help restrain or lift a person
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Tarian driving guidelines if applicable (for Driving Roles).

Desired Qualification of the Security Officer:

• Previous work experience with the public in a service setting

TASER Qualifications

• Ability to meet qualification standards when initially placed in a TASER position and annually thereafter
• Ability to obtain and maintain any applicable local or state license or permit to carry a TASER
• Ability to participate in and pass additional TASER training at the discretion of the TASER instructor
• and/or Tarian
• Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of the Tarian Conducted Energy Weapon (TASER), Tarian Taser Policy
