We are seeking a highly organized and proactive individual to join our multi-disciplinary team. The position will support a neonatal clinical research program focused on developing objective, non-invasive physiologic biomarkers of gastrointestinal function, feeding tolerance, and gastrointestinal development in preterm infants. The role will involve processing and analyzing multimodal physiologic signals, including electrogastrography, abdominal near-infrared spectroscopy, and other future bedside monitoring modalities. Responsibilities will include signal processing, data quality review, feature extraction, visualization, and development of reproducible analytic workflows using MATLAB, Python, or related tools. The Research Assistant will work under PI supervision to help translate quantitative signal features into clinically meaningful physiologic interpretations that align with neonatal clinical context. The role will also include assisting with preparation of figures, abstracts, manuscripts, progress reports, preliminary data summaries, and grant applications.
