Job Description

Position Title: Research Assistant (Part-Time)
School: NYU's School of Global Public Health | Epidemiology
Supervisor: Dr. Saba Rouhani (Principal Investigator)
Number of Positions Available: 1

The Research Assistant will work with Dr. Saba Rouhani. The RA is anticipated to dedicate 10 hours per week to the following responsibilities:

  • Assist Dr. Rouhani in developing quantitative analysis plans for academic research projects
  • Conduct advanced quantitative and statistical analyses using appropriate analytical methods.
  • Apply spatiotemporal analytical techniques to research datasets and study designs.
  • Interpret statistical findings and provide methodological guidance to support research objectives.
  • Advise on the selection and implementation of advanced statistical approaches
  • Explain quantitative findings to research collaborators and contribute to the communication of results for academic publications, presentations, and reports
  • Ensure analytical work is reproducible, accurate, and aligned with research and institutional standards.

Qualifications

  • Eligible candidates must have Masters. or equivalent degree in Epidemiology, or a related field.
  • The analyst chosen should be comfortable with advanced statistical techniques, applying statistical methods and explaining and documenting work to support academic research
