This role is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced treatment environment, values established clinical protocols, enjoys working closely with multidisciplinary teams, and takes pride in helping patients safely navigate recovery. If you are motivated by meaningful work, changing priorities, and making a measurable impact on patient outcomes, we encourage you to apply.

What You'll Do

  • Assess and monitor adolescents and young adults receiving treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders
  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders, nursing standards, and facility policies
  • Complete nursing assessments, medication reconciliations, vital signs, withdrawal monitoring, and ongoing patient evaluations
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, psychiatrists, therapists, utilization review staff, and behavioral health technicians to coordinate care
  • Respond promptly and effectively to medical and behavioral emergencies
  • Monitor and document changes in patient condition, treatment progress, and medication effectiveness
  • Participate actively in treatment team meetings and contribute to patient care planning
  • Educate patients and families regarding medications, wellness, recovery, and treatment expectations
  • Ensure compliance with infection control, medication management, and patient safety standards
  • Train and support LVNs, medical assistants, and non-medical staff regarding nursing procedures and patient care practices
  • Perform phlebotomy, laboratory coordination, and medication inventory functions
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record
  • Assist in identifying risks, preventing crises, and supporting a safe treatment environment
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance requirements

You may be a great fit if you:

  • Enjoy balancing independent clinical judgment with established medical protocols
  • Thrive in environments with changing priorities, deadlines, and patient needs
  • Prefer meaningful work that combines patient interaction with clinical responsibility
  • Communicate in a calm, professional, and persuasive manner when collaborating with patients, families, and colleagues
  • Appreciate structure but enjoy enough variety to keep each day engaging
  • Stay focused under pressure and can effectively prioritize competing demands
  • Value teamwork and enjoy collaborating with multidisciplinary professionals
  • Use both clinical reasoning and compassion when making patient care decisions
  • Take pride in accuracy, consistency, and following best-practice standards
  • Adapt well to different situations while maintaining professionalism and composure
  • Enjoy helping others through education, support, and encouragement
  • Are dependable, accountable, and committed to delivering high-quality patient care

About Clearfork Academy

Call Us At:

(888) 618-9270

Clearfork Academy is a Christ-centered residential treatment center for adolescent boys between the ages of 13 and 17 years old who struggle with substance abuse or addiction and the accompanying mental health and behavioral issues. Clearfork is a family-style living environment set on a ranch overlooking Eagle Mountain Lake. Residents learn, exercise, eat, play, and pray together with the goal of helping each other beat their addictions.

WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO

We believe in the potential of teenagers and the power of Christ to change the trajectory of their lives. Teen drug rehab is more than a job to us; it’s a calling. These factors are what make Clearfork Academy distinct from other addiction recovery facilities.

Why Christ-centered?

Addiction is a powerful thing. Substance abuse rehabilitation requires more than behavioral modification; it requires a heart change. Jesus is the one best qualified to change hearts, so He’s central to all we do at Clearfork.

Why adolescents?

The habits we develop as teens set the trajectory for the rest of our lives. We treat adolescents because we believe in a better future for them. By addressing faulty thinking now, we can literally change their minds before their brains are fully developed. If they’re impressionable enough to fall into addiction, they’re impressionable enough to recover. Helping them reach sobriety now gives them a better chance of a healthy, productive life as an adult.

The difference between a calling and a job

A job pays the bills; a calling is a life’s purpose. Helping adolescents overcome substance abuse is a calling for us. We love what we do and the teens with whom we work. We celebrate their victories and grieve their setbacks.
