The Arc of Ocean County is seeking Part-Time Recreation Assistants within our Family Support Department to support individuals with disabilities through safe, engaging, and meaningful recreational and social experiences throughout Ocean County.
In this role, you will help enhance participants’ quality of life by promoting socialization skills, encouraging community inclusion, and supporting participation in both on-site and community-based recreational activities. These opportunities are designed to foster engagement, independence, and positive social interaction in a supportive environment.
Schedule: Flexible scheduling based on program needs, with weekend daytime availability required
Pay: $20.20–$24.20 per hour, paid on a bi-weekly schedule
The successful candidate will assist with a variety of group outings, social activities, and small group trips, including events such as dances, fitness programs, arts and crafts, cooking groups, and other recreational experiences. Responsibilities include providing transportation using agency vehicles, as well as offering supervision and support throughout all activities.
Additionally, you will encourage participation, promote engagement in program activities, and serve as a positive role model for individuals served within the program.
