Job Description

Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Part-time Quality Tech is responsible for all activities associated with box checks, rework, and quality reports and audits.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

• Check and continue to monitor quality of boxes during the run, including - mis-slotted boxes, loose liner, misprints, and any other defects.
• Complete necessary quality reports and audits in an accurate and timely manner.
• Ensure unit quantities are correct.
• Pull excess scrap from units.
• Rework any returned product

Experience:

• HS Diploma/GED
• One year of experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Prior work experience as a forklift operator.
• Able to read a tape measure. Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages and measurements.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Pay:

$17.60 per hour

• Monday to Thursday
