THE ROLE

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitors assigned posts and surrounding areas to ensure the safety and security of the facility, employees, guests, clients, and visitors.

  • Responds immediately and appropriately to emergencies, disturbances, medical incidents, alarms, and other situations requiring Public Safety involvement.

  • Assists with crowd management, access control, line control, and enforcement of facility rules, policies, and procedures during events and daily operations.

  • Conducts routine interior and exterior property patrols and identifies potential safety, security, or maintenance concerns.

  • Locks and unlocks facility doors, gates, offices, and operational areas as required by event and building schedules

  • Maintains awareness of emergency exits, evacuation procedures, fire alarm systems, and facility safety protocols.

  • Provides customer service and general assistance to guests, including directions, event information, and support with facility-related questions.

  • Communicates effectively via two-way radio, telephone, and in-person interaction with staff, management, emergency responders, and the public.

Education and/or Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • 1 year of public safety or security experience, preferably in a similar environment.

  • Customer service background or equivalent work experience.

  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English

Skills and Abilities

  • Good communication, leadership and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work with the public and professionally handle confrontational situations.

  • Ability to work under limited supervision.

  • Ability to work flexible and irregular hours, including weekends and nights.

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have some knowledge of computers and electronics.

  • Must have professional attitude and appearance

  • Ability to work flexible hours including daytime, evening, weekends and holidays, as needed

COMPENSATION

This position offers an hourly wage of $16.55
