
Part-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Longmont, CO
Location: Longmont, Colorado
Status: Part-Time
Schedule: Minimum of 4 shifts per month; standard clinic hours are 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM, seven days a week
Compensation: $60–$80/hour, based on experience, plus bonus

NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a Part-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in Longmont, CO. This role is ideal for clinicians who value variety, autonomy, and meaningful community impact while practicing in a fast-paced, well-supported urgent care environment.

You’ll be supported by experienced clinical teams, strong peer relationships, clear practice guidelines, and accessible medical leadership who provide real-time guidance and mentorship. The work is engaging and varied, with a broad patient population and generally low-acuity presentations that keep skills sharp without the pressure of inpatient follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting
Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits
Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs, x-rays, and EKGs
Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing, splinting, wound care, and incision and drainage, as applicable
Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR
Code and bill services appropriately
Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks
Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values
Required Qualifications
Active, unrestricted Colorado license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
NP: Family Nurse Practitioner certification through ANCC or AANP required
PA: NCCPA certification required
Active DEA license, or ability to obtain
Colorado prescriptive authority required for NPs
Ability to treat patients of all ages
Active BLS certification
EHR proficiency
Comfort working independently in an urgent care setting
Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays
DOT certification required or willingness to obtain; fees covered
Preferred Qualifications
Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experience
Strong procedural skills, including suturing, splinting, wound care, and incision and drainage
Experience with initial x-ray interpretation prior to radiology over-read
Experience working as a solo provider
