As a Part-Time Physician at the North Central Health District’s HOPE Center you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals working to protect the health and well-being of communities across the state by supporting vital public health initiatives. This position will be scheduled for up to 28 hours per week, offering schedule flexibility and a healthy work-life balance while allowing you to use your medical expertise to make a lasting impact on the community.
The Physician will provide comprehensive medical care to patients living with HIV/AIDS, focusing on diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and ongoing disease management. The role will also collaborate with the HOPE Center Director and Clinical Nurse Manager to improve clinical workflows, address bottlenecks, and enhance overall efficiency.
Medical degree recognized by the Georgia Composite Medical Board (GCMB) and licensure or license-eligible to practice medicine at a state institution or in the state of Georgia as provided by state law and two (2) years of experience at the lower level Physician 2 (HCP161) or position equivalent.

The use of physical activity breaks during the workday is authorized to support this philosophy and help employees meet their wellness goals. A maximum of 30 minutes of physical activity may be allocated per workday, typically in the form of two 15-minute breaks or one 30-minute break.
State of Georgia employees are subject to the rules of the State Personnel Board regarding salary.
DPH accepts educational credentials recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) as valid. DPH will contact educational institutions to verify degrees, diplomas, licensures, and other relevant credentials.
