About the Position:Looking to start or grow your career in payroll? Join the Empire Beauty School Payroll Team! We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Part-Time Payroll Clerk to support essential payroll operations for our organization. In this entry-level role, you will gain hands-on experience while assisting with new hire and deduction entries, wage garnishments, payroll reporting, and payroll check distribution and communications with our school locations.Our Payroll Clerk will be someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and has strong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills. You should be comfortable managing multiple priorities, working with Microsoft Office and electronic worksheets, and collaborating as part of a team. The pay range for this position is $19.00 - 20.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Our ideal candidate has:High school diploma or equivalent required.One to two years of experience working in an office environment preferred.Previous payroll, accounting, or bookkeeping experience is a plus.Working knowledge of computers required.Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel preferred.Previous experience with Great Plains or ADP is a plus.
