A quick summary about the role:

This is a part-time position that could work up to 28 hours a week.

The primary function of the Part Time On-Call Office Services Assistant is to provide backup coverage for the Reception Desk during periods of illness, training, or other unavailability. As such, there are no guaranteed weekly/monthly shifts. While unexpected day-off shifts may become available, others may be known in advance in order to be scheduled. Responsibilities include answering and directing phone calls, greeting visitors, validating parking, assisting staff, and performing a variety of general office duties to support the efficient and effective operation of departmental functions.

What the role will do:

    • Ensure the timely opening and closing of the Orlando Magic Office reception area daily.
    • Greet and interface with internal/external customers and the public in a friendly and professional manner.
    • Validate parking for staff and guests
    • Submit Visitors and Vendors requests as needed
    • Provide office support to staff and guests.
    • Respond to/Communicate immediate housekeeping requests, as needed
    • Receive and distribute items delivered to Reception Desk, per protocol.
    • Communicate supply replenishment needs to Office Services team
    • Distribute first aid supplies as needed.
    • Restock break rooms with coffee/snack supplies as needed.
    • Coordinate work orders for building repairs/services.
    • Maintain general cleanliness and organization of workspace.
    • Assist Office Services Manager with other duties as needed/instructed.
    • All other duties as assigned.

What the role needs to have:

  • Understanding that this is an on-call position, with no guaranteed weekly/monthly hours
  • Availability for 9:00am-1:30pm, 1:00pm-6:00pm, and 9:00am-6:00pm shifts
  • Professional appearance/attire.
  • Friendly personality with a desire to provide legendary service to staff and guests.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with internal/external customers.
  • Ability to establish exceptional rapport with others and build strong interpersonal relationships.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office products and other related computer skills required.
