Job Description

The North Polk Community School District is a progressive educational community located in the Des Moines metro area just north of Ankeny serving the communities of Alleman, Elkhart, Polk City, and Sheldahl. The District proudly serves over 2200 learners from preschool through 12th grade in five buildings (West Elementary, PK thru 2nd; Big Creek Elementary, 3rd-5th; Central Elementary, PK thru 5th, Middle School, 6th-8th; and High School, 9th-12th).

North Polk Middle School, located in Alleman, IA is looking for a nutrition employee excited to join the team providing meals to our students.

Hours: 10:45 am - 1:30 pm

Compensation: $19.27 per hour

Requirements:

• Individual must be flexible, collaborative, and willing to learn and grow.

Working Conditions:

• Hazards include kitchen equipment, stairs and communicable diseases;
• Bending, carrying, climbing, driving, pushing, pulling, reaching, sitting, standing, walking, gripping, and lifting objects weighing up to 45 pounds;
• Using hands and arms to reach for, grasp, and manipulate objects;
• Extremes of environmental temperature and humidity;
• Extreme hot and cold temperatures from equipment.
