Position Summary: NGUcentral is an initiative within the North Greenville University community to enhance student experience and satisfaction by providing exemplary customer service in one location that assists students with registration, bill payment, transcript requests, financial aid information, scheduling, etc. The NGUcentral Associate provides front-line customer service to students, alumni, staff, faculty, and guests.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Represent NGU in creating a professional, welcoming, and helpful environment by providing excellent customer service in person, on the phone, and in written communication.
- Assist with retention and student satisfaction efforts by connecting students with information and resources to navigate the administrative needs of their student experience.
- Support NGU students by problem-solving in the following areas:
- - Academic Records: Troubleshooting registration issues, providing forms, processing official transcripts, and updating student information.
- - Student Accounts and Financial Aid: Process student payments, support students in setting up payment plans, maintain financial clearance each semester, and answer general financial aid related questions.
- - Maintain NGUcentral’s main phone-line and email account.
- Collaborate with Student Accounts, Financial Aid, and Academic Records regarding student portal issues and in answering general student questions related to these areas.
- Support the Student Services department as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Visual Abilities: Read reports, create presentations, and use a computer system.
- Hearing:   Hear well enough to communicate with co-workers, vendors, and students.
- Dexterity, Grasping, Feeling, Write, type, and use the telephone, copier, and computer systems.
- Mobility: Open files and operate office machines; move between departments and attend meetings across campus.
- Talking: Frequently convey detailed or important instructions and ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- Lifting, Pulling, Pushing: Exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Cognitive/Emotional: Ability to critically think and concentrate. Must be able to respond quickly to changes in conditions  75 to 100% of the time.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPs
This position is a part-time, non-exempt position in North Greenville University’s Student Services Department. The Associate reports to the Student Services Manager.
WORK SCHEDULE
Student Services is open Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday, 8:30 a.m. to noon. Office hours are subject to change as deemed necessary. Weekly schedule is to be determined based on 18.5 hours per week.

Qualifications
- Affirm an understanding of the Baptist Faith & Message 2000 and an understanding of the University’s Statement on Human Flourishing.
- Agree to abide by the employee handbooks, including community standards agreements.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to handle a variety of student issues and concerns.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and problem-solve in an environment where frequent interruptions are common.
- Ability to follow through with tasks and work independently.
- Computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- At least one year of university services experience preferred.
- Understand and comply with FERPA regulations.
