Part Time Nanny

We’re currently looking for a Part-Time Nanny in Winchester MA (01890)
A warm and welcoming family located near the north end of Mystic Lake is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and engaging nanny to care for their two children long term. The family hopes to find someone interested in growing with them and becoming a valued part of their household.
The ideal candidate is patient, kind, emotionally attuned, and confident supporting both children. The family would love someone who enjoys engaging children through meaningful conversation, creative play, activities around town, and developmentally supportive interactions. A background or strong interest in child development is a plus.
This position includes a combination of after-school care, evening care, and weekend outings. The family values flexibility, reliability, and someone who can create a calm, nurturing environment while helping keep the children’s routines running smoothly.

Schedule: Guaranteed 15 hours per week
- Between Monday-Sunday
- 2 weekday afternoons per week
- 1 evening per week from approximately 5pm–10pm
- 1 weekend shift (Saturday or Sunday) for approximately 3 hours

- The family is open to negotiation, based on experience

2 Children: 3 & 6 years old
Responsibilities
- School pickup and transportation to activities
- The family vehicle is available for transporting the children to activities, all within approximately 4–5 miles from home.
- Engaging children in age-appropriate play and activities
- Supporting child development and emotional growth
- Preparing light meals and snacks
- Light housekeeping related to the children
- Light errands related to the children’s needs
- Assisting with potty training for the youngest child
- Helping maintain a positive, organized household environment
Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- 2 years professional childcare experience a strong plus
- CPR certified (or willing to become certified)
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and proof of insurance
- Able to provide 2 professional childcare references
- Able to pass background check and social media screening
- Patient, dependable, and emotionally grounded
- Child development background or experience is a plus
- Comfortable around family’s two friendly cats, no pet care required
Compensation + Benefits
This position starts at $35 per hour and is negotiable based on experience. The family is eager to offer an excellent long-term opportunity for the right candidate and hopes to find someone who is patient, gracious, dependable, and genuinely enjoys supporting children and families.
