Job Description

General SummaryUnder supervision of the Center Director/Program Coordinator or Designee, to participate in the responsibility of performing lifeguarding, water rescue and safety procedures: To perform a variety of tasks in the prevention of injuries at the pool facilities.

  • Maintains Lifeguard & CPR/First Aid certifications. Administer First Aid and/or CPR as needed; performs water rescue functions
  • Observe patrons and enforce the safety rules and regulations of the pool
  • Customer Service/Handles Objections/Positive Public Perception
  • Participates in Lifeguard Training sessions
  • Dependability/ Attentiveness/Excellent Communication skills

POSITION SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES MIGHT INCLUDE

  • Lifeguarding and CPR/First Aid administering
  • Familiarity with and use of water safety equipment

Required minimum qualifications:

Education: Lifeguard Training

Experience: None

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Lifeguard certification
  • Water rescue safety methods
  • Pool Safety operating regulations

Certification:
