
The Department of Sciences and Mathematics within the School of Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences (SIAS) at the University of Washington (UW) Tacoma projects the need for instruction in Mathematics as well as Physics during the 2025-26 academic year. We invite applications for Part-Time Lecturers Temporary from individuals with expertise and/or teaching experience in these fields. These are part-time positions with quarterly (3-month) service periods that begin on September 16, December 16, and/or March 16.

The base salary range for this position will be $5597 per quarter per 5-credit course ($6717 per 6-credit laboratory course) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This position requires an earned PhD or MS (or foreign equivalent) in Mathematics, Physics, or a related field at the time of appointment. Priority will be given to candidates with previous experience teaching at higher ed institutions.
