THIS POSITION DOES NOT START UNTIL AUGUST 2026 SCHOOL YEAR!!This position is Monday-Friday 1:20 pm -6 pm, and runs on the St. Pius school schedule
The task of an SAS Instructional Assistant is to provide quality care and educational support in a safe, nurturing environment for school-age children while following Learning Grove standards and state guidelines.

Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Some post-secondary education and childcare experience preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times.
- Support learning through structured activities, creativity, and positive interactions.
- Implement lesson plans aligned with state learning standards.
- Maintain organized classrooms and complete assigned tasks and documentation.
- Use positive guidance techniques to support children’s development.
- Follow licensing, SUTQ/STARS, and Learning Grove requirements.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and positive relationships with families and staff.
- Participate in required training and professional development.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to bend, move frequently, and remain active throughout the day.
