Located in Joppa, Maryland, Pyramid Healthcare's Harford Inpatient Program provides evidence-based treatment services for men and women experiencing substance use disorders, methamphetamine and stimulant use disorders, co-occurring mental health conditions, and opioid addiction through our methadone maintenance program. Our dedicated team is committed to helping individuals reclaim their health, wellness, and independence through compassionate, high-quality care.

We are currently seeking a Part Time Housekeeper who is passionate about creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our clients and staff. This unique dual-role opportunity encourages collaboration between our housekeeping and maintenance teams while providing room for professional growth and development.

Pay & Schedule

  • Starting Rate: $15.00 per hour
  • Schedule: Monday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
  • No Sundays Required
  • Part Time opportunity

Essential Responsibilities

As a Housekeeper / Maintenance Assistant, you will help ensure our facility remains clean, safe, and well-maintained by:

  • Maintaining cleanliness throughout residential, clinical, and administrative areas
  • Cleaning client rooms, bathrooms, hallways, nurses' stations, exam rooms, and common areas daily
  • Cleaning public restrooms, offices, conference rooms, entrances, and shared spaces
  • Emptying trash receptacles and disposing of waste according to company procedures
  • Wet mopping floors and performing seasonal deep cleaning tasks such as windows, baseboards, and radiators
  • Restocking paper towels, soap dispensers, toilet paper, and facility supplies
  • Cleaning laundry areas and maintaining dryer filters
  • Following infection prevention, safety, and environmental services standards
  • Safely using cleaning chemicals, equipment, and housekeeping tools
  • Reporting maintenance concerns, safety hazards, damaged equipment, and supply needs
  • Assisting with basic maintenance and janitorial duties as needed
  • Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
  • Completing required organizational, accreditation, and compliance training
  • Performing additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and move materials as needed
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

Preferred

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Prior housekeeping, environmental services, custodial, or janitorial experience
  • Basic maintenance experience
  • Experience working in healthcare, behavioral health, residential treatment, hospitality, or commercial cleaning environments
  • CPR, AED, and First Aid certification

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Knowledge of housekeeping and environmental services best practices
  • Understanding of infection prevention and workplace safety procedures
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment and utilize cleaning products safely
  • Strong time management and task prioritization skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment

Physical Requirements

  • Regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, and stair climbing
  • Frequent use of housekeeping equipment and cleaning tools
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Employment Requirements

Due to the nature of behavioral healthcare services and our commitment to client safety, all candidates selected for employment must successfully complete:

  • Criminal background screening
  • Drug screening
  • Any required state-mandated clearances

Employment is contingent upon meeting all applicable federal, state, regulatory, and accrediting-body requirements.
