Location: Cleveland, OH 44113
Employment Type: Part-time | Approximately 20 hours per week

Start Date: ASAP
We're an active family of four based in Cleveland — two working parents and two school-age kids who are equally at home on a swim deck, in an art studio, or in the kitchen. We love our city: we go to shows and performances, host friends for dinner parties (both intimate and lively), bike, and fill our weekends exploring our neighborhood with friends and family.
We're high-performing, warm, and deeply intentional about how our household runs. One of our core values is raising kids who know how to take care of themselves — we want them learning how to do their own laundry, pack their own bags, feed themselves after school, and manage their responsibilities before screens or downtime. We don't want someone who does things for our kids. We want someone who teaches them, holds them accountable, and makes it feel like a team effort along the way.
We already have a biweekly house cleaner, and this long term role is focused on the flow and function of daily household life from someone who takes genuine ownership of the space and the people in it, while also organically connecting with our kids and supporting the overflow of our weekday work/life juggle.
You're a self-starter who walks into a home and sees what needs to happen, and does it. You don't need a task list or someone checking in on you. You take initiative, anticipate needs, and bring a calm, professional presence to everything you do. You have a career trajectory that reflects intention: you've been successful in some capacity and you're consciously pursuing household management as a professional path, not as a placeholder.
You have high emotional intelligence. You know how to read a room, how to connect with tweens without overstepping, and how to build trust with a family that values their privacy and their systems. You're coachable and genuinely open to feedback, you don't impose your preferences on the household, you learn how this family does things and you do it their way, better.
You're inclusive, adaptable, and open-minded. We are a a diverse, engaged family with kids who are thoughtful about the world around them, and we need someone whose values genuinely reflect that. You hold firm but friendly boundaries with kids without being rigid, reinforce household rules consistently, and find creative ways to make everyday responsibilities feel engaging and collaborative. Whether it's folding laundry, tackling chores, or cooking and baking together in the kitchen, you enjoy helping kids build practical skills, take ownership, and have fun along the way.
Please submit a short intro letter telling us a bit about yourself and why this role is a fit, an updated resume, and 3 professional references with names, relationship to you, and contact information. Please note: this role requires a background check.
