About Our Family

We are an active family of four based in Sycamore, Illinois. Our household runs at a high energy pace, anchored by two kids who are deeply involved in travel sports and a schedule that shifts week to week depending on practices, games, and road trips. One parent works fully from home in a demanding leadership role and manages a packed calendar of back-to-back meetings with household chores and travels for work one or two days per month. The other parent divides time between a home office and outside work. We also share our home with a sweet, friendly small dog who loves everyone she meets.

We are a get-it-done family. We care about keeping our home organized and our routines running smoothly even when life gets chaotic. We have a weekly cleaning team that handles deep cleaning on Wednesday afternoons, and we are looking for someone to support the everyday rhythm of the home: the laundry, the meal prep, the errands, the resets, and all the things that fall in between. We value a clean, uncluttered home and put a lot of thought into how things are organized, even when real life makes that a challenge.

We are warm, flexible, and appreciate someone who can work independently and take initiative. We communicate with respect and directness, and we genuinely want this to be a great working relationship.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

The right person for this role is self-directed, observant, and takes pride in a job well done without needing a to-do list handed to them each day. You notice what needs to be done and you do it. You are the kind of person who would rather take action and check in afterward than wait around for permission on routine tasks. You have strong executive function, a natural eye for organization, and an ability to hold a lot of moving pieces in your head at once.

You are comfortable working in an active household alongside someone who is heads-down and unavailable during much of the day. You can communicate clearly and briefly, check in at the start and end of your shift, and handle the rest with confidence. While an average day may not leave much time to chat, you are still someone who will invest into building a successful long-term relationship with the family (including the family dog and kids).

Experience with family cooking and a good understanding of healthy, practical meal prep is a strong plus. You also likely have experience working with children, and are comfortable being a proactive and engaging presence with kids. You take pride in a tidy, well-run home, and you bring a calm, capable energy that makes everything feel more manageable for the family you support.

Key Responsibilities

Laundry & Linen Care

  • Wash, fold, and put away laundry for the full household
