AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
We are seeking part-time honey bee research support members. This position will involve working with honey bees and honey; assisting faculty, staff, and graduate students with research; experiments and assays; and collecting and interpreting data in laboratory and/or field settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in honey bees and beekeeping.
Responsibilities:
Conduct observations and experiments involving honey bees and/or honey
Conduct laboratory and/or field assays and data collection
Work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and graduate students on research projects
Maintain accurate records of experimental data and assist with data interpretation
Help maintain a clean and organized work environment in laboratory and/or field settings
Qualifications:
Beekeeping experience preferred
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to work in laboratory and field settings
Attention to detail and the ability to follow experimental protocols
Skills using a computer including online meeting platforms, word processing software, spreadsheets, and other data-sharing methods
Hours: Part-time, flexible hours (10-20 hours per week)
