AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Beef and Sheep Center and Haller Farm seek to hire part-time animal attendants. Applicants must be a Penn State Student.
Successful applicants will be involved with all aspects of beef and sheep production. Students will assist with feeding, watering, cleaning pens, moving animals, bedding, and assisting with routine animal health care procedures. Some individuals will be trained to operate equipment such as tractors, mowers, and skid loaders.
Candidates should have a strong work ethic and prior livestock experience is preferred. Some weekends will be required.
Housing is available on a limited basis.
BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES
Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
