We are seeking a reliable and knowledgeable Gardener to support the care and maintenance of our courtyard garden on a part-time, contract (1099) basis. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on gardening and has experience with small-scale edible gardens.
Schedule
- Approximately 1 day per week (2–3 hours per visit)
- Flexible scheduling based on availability
Key Responsibilities
- Harvest vegetables, herbs, and fruit from:
- - Three raised garden beds
- - Herb garden
- - Approximately a dozen fruit trees
- Wash, prepare, and bag harvested items for distribution
- Provide guidance on:
- - Seasonal planting schedules
- - Crop rotation and soil health
- Recommend plant replacements and new plantings as needed
- Perform light planting and garden upkeep to maintain productivity and health

Qualifications

Qualifications
- Prior gardening or horticulture experience preferred
- Knowledge of edible gardens, herbs, and fruit trees
- Familiarity with planting cycles and soil management
- Ability to work independently and provide recommendations
- Detail-oriented and dependable
Compensation
- Competitive hourly rate ($25–$30/hour, depending on experience)
- Contract (1099) position
