Job Description

Chances Dawson Creek is currently looking for a vibrant Part Time Gaming Attendant Under the direct supervision of the Operations Manager, this position is responsible for a variety of duties including but not limited to, customer service, selling cards, cash handling, calling games and completing detailed paper work, all while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees and ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Welcome, educate, direct, and serve the customers promptly, professionally, and positively.
  • Assist with floor sales, call backs, specials tables, and clean up during the event.
  • Verifies and processes jackpots, short pays, cancelled credits and hand-pays; makes change; clears tilts and jams; replenishes ticket inventory
  • Conducts prescribed maintenance on slot machines as required
  • Distributes and monitors Reserved signs
  • Documents and reconciles transactions
  • Monitors and reports all irregular or suspicious activities
  • Assume responsibility for cash and floats that have been issued.
  • Be visible on the floor at all times.
  • Complete deposits, as well as daily paperwork and reports.
  • Communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Builds strong working relationships with guests and employees
  • Complies with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed

Successful Candidates will possess the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum two years cash handling experience in a customer service position
  • Ability to operate adding machines, currency counters and other related equipment
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Criminal Record and Credit Check via Independent Gambling Control Office
  • Professional attitude and appearance, strong interpersonal skills and a team player
  • Dependable and reliable with a demonstrated commitment to service excellence
  • Must be available to work a variety of shifts including days, nights, weekends and statutory holiday
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
  • Serving It Right Certification
