We are seeking a part-time front office coordinator for our practice in Hackensack, NJ. The position is 30 hours a week (some flexibility). This position can lead to full-time in a year or so.
Job requirements are:
Greet patients in person and by phone, answering questions, scheduling appointments and providing a high level of customer service· Checks voicemail and email messages.
Follows up on prospective patients with phone calls, emails, brochures, etc.
Maintains and keeps patient paperwork updated
Updates patient files in the electronic medical record system with pertinent patient information, referral sources, insurance information, hearing aid information and electronic filing of all pertinent patient records
Maintains hearing aid database with current serial numbers, warranty end dates, sizing, etc.
Maintains provider applications and credentialing information for participating health plans
Take payments, record payments, and reconcile at end of day.
Orders office supplies and oversee overall clinic inventory; oversee shipping and receiving of merchandise as needed.
Enters merchandise into electronic medical records system
Maintains patient confidentiality as per HIPPA laws
Opens and closes the office according to protocol
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
Some marketing assistance, contacting patients, assisting owner with outreach events.
Qualification:
Strong computer skills, advanced knowledge of MS Suite, Adobe, Google Doc’s.
Prior medical office experience.
Great communication skills both verbal and written.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks.
Can work well independently.
High school diploma or GED required.
