The Adjunct Instructor shall be responsible to the Dean of Science, Technology, & Mathematics
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Teach classes as assigned by the appropriate Academic Dean. Instructor will be expected to meet each class for the full duration of each scheduled class period.
• Provide availability to students a sufficient amount of time out of class to meet the students’ needs for assistance with course work.
• Maintain skills and knowledge within his or her area. Instructor will attend required professional development activities on campus and can attend activities off campus.
• Maintain updated documents and grades in the current LMS, and will submit grades in a timely manner as required by the Registrar’s Office.
• Insure that a syllabus for each course taught is on file in the office of the appropriate Academic Dean and that any revisions made are on file.
• Review and select the textbooks and/or other materials for their assigned course(s) as required.
• Cooperate with the Advisory Committee for his or her program (if applicable) and incorporate feedback as appropriate.
• Demonstrate consistent professionalism and commitment to working cooperatively with all campus personnel.
• Complete any required reports within the prescribed time frame.
• Attend functions at the College as requested by administrative officers.
• Other duties as assigned by the Dean and/or Vice Chancellor for Academics.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of the minimum qualifications upon approval of the Chancellor.
