Job Description

The Department of Economics at Fordham University periodically hires part-time non-tenure track (NTT) faculty to teach introductory courses in Economics and Statistics. Based on scheduling needs as well as the qualifications and availability of the applicant, successful candidates may be offered one or two sections of Principles of Microeconomics or Principles of Macroeconomics, or one or two sections of Statistics I or II. These are core courses in the Economics Major and the Gabelli School of Business core. We regularly hire part-time faculty for fall (mid-Aug to end Dec) and spring (mid January to end May). These positions are by semester positions. Part-time NTT instructors at Fordham are represented by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and certain terms of employment, including minimum per course rates and details concerning benefits, are set by the Adjunct Faculty Collective Bargaining Agreement For further information, please visit the following website: Information for Adjunct Faculty

Our department serves a diverse student body at two campuses in New York City, at Lincoln Center in Manhattan and at the larger Rose Hill campus in the Bronx.

In person at either the Rose Hill campus in the Bronx or the Lincoln Center campus in Manhattan (depending on teaching need)

Qualifications

Applicants should hold a PhD. The position will require the successful candidate to teach up to two undergraduate courses per semester. We are primarily looking for individuals comfortable in teaching introductory micro or macroeconomics, Statistics I and II, and occasionally upper division courses.
