NYU Paris is seeking a part-time faculty coordinator to build and oversee a new academic program for undergraduate students: Courant Semester in Paris. This new program builds on already existing courses at NYU Paris in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Data Science, to create a coherent academic experience for semester-long students. The program will ensure that students benefit from rigorous coursework, a small scientific cohort, research-oriented mentoring, and structured exposure to the Paris mathematical and data-science ecosystem.
Visiting students from other universities who partner with NYU Global Programs are welcome. Visiting students will be expected to take a full program of study at NYU Paris.
The Courant Semester in Paris program coordinator will collaborate with the Office of Global Programs for outreach, recruitment, and communication with incoming students; launching and mentoring interested students on independent research projects; coordinating and accompanying students on at least one site visit in Paris to learn about the local scientific milieu (for example the Institut Henri Poincaré); coordinating at least one guest lecture or seminar; coordinating the end of semester presentation of projects. Working with the NYU Paris team, the coordinator will also develop strategies for growth of the program.

NYU Paris recherche un coordinateur pédagogique à temps partiel chargé de mettre en place et de superviser un nouveau programme académique destiné aux étudiants de premier cycle : le « Courant Semester in Paris ». Ce nouveau programme s'appuie sur les cours déjà proposés par NYU Paris en mathématiques, en informatique et en data science afin d'offrir une expérience académique cohérente aux étudiants inscrits pour un semestre. Le programme permettra aux étudiants de bénéficier d'un cursus rigoureux, d'une promotion réduite à vocation scientifique, d'un encadrement axé sur la recherche et d'une immersion structurée dans l'écosystème parisien des mathématiques et de la science des données.
Les étudiants provenant d'autres universités partenaires des programmes internationaux de NYU sont les bienvenus. Les étudiants en visite devront suivre un programme d'études complet à NYU Paris.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Mathematics, Computer Science, or Data Science, and at least 1 year of teaching and/or mentoring experience. Current NYU Paris faculty are encouraged to apply.
