The Department ofArts and Humanities, in the School ofArts, Letters, and SciencesattheNational University invites applications for part-time faculty inart who can teach courses in studio art including basic drawing as well as art historyThe successful candidate will have a demonstratedrecord of,or potential forexcellence in,teaching in their field and a commitment to serving the university’s diverseadultstudentbodyThe successful candidate will have the potential for a commitment to serving the university’s diverse adult student bodyThis positionprimarilyworks closely withthe Academic Program Director andother faculty within theprogramandcontributestoensuringprogram quality, student engagement, and success.

Essential Job Duties

• Provide substantive,timelyfeedback to students onvarious assessment activities
• Maintain a positive, safe, inclusive student-centric learning environment.
• Completerequiredtaskson deadlines(e.g., final grades, assessment,grading rubrics, input for grade appeals, etc.)
• Maintain appropriate professional training and/or scholarly activities, when applicable.
• Provide feedback to the course lead regarding the course content.
• Identify at-risk students and collaborate with student services.

Qualifications

• Masterof Fine Artsdegree instudio art or a related fieldfrom a regionally accredited universityrequired.
• At least 1 year of higher education experienceteachingrequired

Candidate receiving offers will be offered a salary/pay rate commensurate with experience that vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies.
