Safeguards and protects the facilities and their grounds; answers inquiries from the renter, league presidents, coaches, team moms, and/or the general public during functions; handles situations that may occur during rental or reservation period. Job may require the employee to work for long periods of time during the day, in the evening and weekend hours as assigned. Work requires the employee to perform planning of work at work site and ensuring the work is performed in a safe and effective manner. Work is performed under general supervision and is reviewed through conferences, observation, and success and completion of assigned tasks.

High school graduation or GED with some experience in the area of customer relations, facility maintenance and some experience in recreation or related program; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in assisting with recreation activities, leisure activities, or related programs would also be a benefit.

Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Must be able to perform medium work exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift objects. Employee in this class is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions, extreme cold and heat, noise from motorized maintenance equipment, vibrations, atmospheric conditions, and oils, greases, fumes, dirt, sharps from metal and glass. Employee must wear hearing/visual protection while performing most field work and may be exposed to blood borne pathogens requiring specialized personal protective equipment.
