Job Title: Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver – Rebersburg, PA & Surrounding Areas
Direct Support Professional (DSP) – $19.50–$25/hr

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support a female individual residing in Rebersburg, PA who is diagnosed with Autism. She enjoys being active in the community, participating in social outings, and engaging in meaningful activities. This role focuses on building independence, supporting emotional regulation, and helping her strengthen daily living skills.

The ideal DSP will have strong experience with behavioral support and medication management, as the individual experiences aggression at times and carries an EpiPen due to acute medical conditions.

What You’ll Do

As a DSP, you will provide hands-on and community-based support that helps the individual build confidence, independence, and healthy routines. Responsibilities include:

• Support daily living skills and emotional regulation

• Assist with money management and building a sense of responsibility

• Encourage community engagement, social outings, and recreational activities

• Provide behavioral support during moments of aggression

• Ensure safety and monitor medical needs, including EpiPen awareness

• Support healthy decision-making and structured routines

• Communicate with Abound team members and family as needed

• Complete documentation and participate in ongoing training

Schedule Details

This referral requires 2 days per week of In-Home & Community Support (IHCS):

Tuesdays: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Saturdays: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older

• Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation

• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks

• Experience with behavioral support required

• Experience with medication management required

• Ability to support emotional regulation and community-based activities

Experience working with individuals with disabilities is not required — we provide paid training and support.

Pay

Starting Pay: $19.50–$25 per hour

(Compensation varies based on experience and service type)
