
Job Title: Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver – Newfoundland, PA & Surrounding Areas
Community Participation Services (CPS) – $20/hr

Abound Health is hiring a female Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support a young woman residing in a group home in Newfoundland, PA. She is shy and takes time to warm up to new people, so we are seeking someone patient, kind, and able to build trust over time. She enjoys going out into the community, shopping, attending movies, and going to church when she can. She would like a caregiver with similar interests who can support her in staying active and engaged.
This role is Community Participation Services (CPS), so driving is required

As a DSP, you will support her in accessing the community, building independence, and participating in meaningful activities. Responsibilities include:
• Provide transportation to community outings (shopping, movies, church, etc.)
• Encourage social engagement and participation in preferred activities
• Build rapport and trust with a shy individual who warms up gradually
• Support her in navigating community environments safely
• Promote independence and confidence during outings
• Communicate with Abound team members and group home staff
• Complete documentation and participate in ongoing training
This referral requires CPS services two days per week
Wednesday: 3:30 PM – 7:00 PM
Saturday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

• Female staff only (per client preference)
• Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks
• Comfortable supporting shy individuals and building rapport
• Ability to drive for community outings (required)
Experience working with individuals with disabilities is not required — we provide paid training and support.
Starting Pay: $20 per hour
(Compensation varies based on experience and service type)
