DesignWorks Specialist

Part-time – 19 hours/week

Pella, IA (hybrid)

At Pella, DesignWorks Specialists deliver a nationwide design service supporting the sales branches by bringing Pella products to life through realistic visualizations. Our team helps sales representatives and homeowners in the retail, trade, and commercial segments envision solutions with the ultimate goal of winning the sale.

Beyond design creation, the DesignWorks program offers value-added experiences including design-inspired lunch & learns, newsletters, on-site design events, and branch-level training—developed collaboratively with our partners. As the program continues to grow, we are excited to explore how emerging technologies and AI will shape the future of our services.

About the Role:

As a DesignWorks Specialist, you will play a key role in transforming inspiration into compelling visual solutions. Working daily from a design queue within project management software, you may collaborate directly with sales representatives and homeowners. You will also support marketing initiatives and engagement activities that drive awareness and adoption of DesignWorks at the sales branch level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce high-quality design renderings and visualizations for residential and commercial projects.

• Collaborate with homeowners and sales representatives throughout the design process.

• Participate in marketing, training, and engagement activities.

• Partner with the DesignWorks team to develop best practices and identify opportunities to expand and enhance services.

Expectations:

• Average 19 hours/week with a primary focus on design support.

• Complete 30- 40 designs per week (recognizing varying levels of project complexity).

• Maintain consistent, pre-communicated weekly work hours to support workload planning, production needs, and team collaboration on special projects, stretch assignments, and travel initiatives.

• Adapt to changing processes and priorities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Exposure to Salesforce and Adobe Photoshop preferred.

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or 1-2 years of related experience, training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Ability to travel to sales branches as needed.Must be able to travel to showrooms, job sites, and customer/contractor locations and required company functions at various locations.Individual’s motor vehicle record must comply with company requirements.
