COM 100 Teacher
To teach communication theory and practice as a Dual Enrollment instructor for High School students. To assist them to obtain their Associate’s Degree while attending High School.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Provide instruction and conduct classes in accordance with the philosophy of Heritage Academy and within the course of study defined by the department
• Cooperate with full-time faculty members in regard to educational matters
• Attend scheduled meetings called by authorized personnel
• Keep accurate records and submit all records when required
• Meet all assigned classes with adequate preparation
• Evaluate student performance and conduct fair evaluations applied equally to all students
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Competencies & Strengths
Education: Master’s Degree in Speech, Communication, or closely related field; or a Master’s Degree in any discipline and 18 graduate semester hours in the field of study
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in an education setting; preferably at the Community College level

• Outstanding communication skills
• Ability to enforce high standards of behavior, dress, and character in oneself and with students.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Professional and friendly disposition
• Proficient with computers and software applications including Microsoft Office tools.
Type of fingerprint clearance: Shall be fingerprint checked pursuant to A.R.S 15-512
Physical functions: Must be able to remain in a stationary (standing or sitting) position for 75% of the time; may occasionally move around the campus 25% of the time.
Equipment used: Frequent computer and telephone use is expected.
Work Environment: May be required to move or position equipment up to 15-25 pounds. May be exposed to outdoor weather.
