Custodian
La Academia's custodian, you will develop and implement custodial services in order to provide a clean, comfortable, healthy, safe, and attractive facility with no disruption to educational programs.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, squat, stoop, kneel, reach above the head and reach forward. The employee continuously uses hand strength to grasp tools. The employee will frequently bend or twist at the neck and trunk more than the average person while performing the duties of this job.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; such as cleaning supplies, pails and unloading trucks. The employee will sometimes push/pull items such as tables, bleachers and scrubbing machines.

EMPLOYEMENT CONTIGENCY:
****This is a Part-Time 12-Month position, 5.5 hours daily Monday – Friday beginning at 4pm.****

The Delaware Department of Education (DDOE) provides educational support to residents from birth through adulthood. DDOE supports Delaware public schools – which includes 19 school districts and 23 charter schools – with resources, professional development, grant access and more so that all Delaware students are ready for success in college, career and life.
DDOE additionally manages educator licensure and certification, registers homeschools, facilitates adult and prison education programs, supports early learning and higher education institutes, and facilitates additional programs as outlined in Delaware Code.
Delaware education policies, laws, and regulations are often formed in partnership with local educators and stakeholders, the State Board of Education, the Professional Standards Board and the Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association (DIAA).
In Delaware, any child between age five and 16 is required to attend a public school, homeschool or other non-public option.
